- Usage Data: App interactions, features used, and crash reports
- Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our app
2. How We Use Your Information

- To sync your journal entries across devices (if you enable cloud backup)
- To send you reminder notifications (if enabled)

3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
By default, all your journal entries are stored locally on your device and are encrypted.
Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.
3.2 Cloud Storage (Optional)
If you choose to enable cloud backup, your encrypted journal entries are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore.
We use industry-standard encryption both in transit and at rest.
3.3 Security Measures
- All data transmissions use SSL/TLS encryption
- Journal entries are encrypted before cloud storage
- Optional PIN/biometric lock for app access
- Regular security audits and updates
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): For authentication, cloud storage, and analytics

- Delete: Delete individual entries or your entire account
- Opt-Out: Disable analytics, notifications, or cloud backup at any time
7. Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
8. Data Retention
- Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or clear data
- Cloud Data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Account Deletion: All cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Analytics Data: Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months
9. International Users
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country.
By using our app, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have different data protection rules.
